Don't know about recently 'though.Kidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07224781868125924337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8266056566078305802.post-77047654841482983802012-03-01T08:15:51.096-08:002012-03-01T08:15:51.096-08:00ahh. Guy was going to bomb someone and he got paid back in spades but I still draw the line at mocking someone's disability -I guess it was easier than attacking Islamic fundamentalists and you do see the comedians pulling back from that very quickly!! Stephen Hawking...well, no major surprise but I've argued with him. He said time travel was NOT possible but I said the data was flawed. A year later he says time travel IS possible. Yes, I tore him down a peg and he changed his tune! :-)
Anyway, I'm trying to get to the bottom of The Dandy sales wise -I've been told by one person its down to 6000 copies sold but someone else says it has dipped below that. That cannot be possible surely?! Its awful. I just cannot believe how far Thomson has slipped -they USED to be a big name as Dundee Editions around the world but now...
It gets very, very depressing.Terry Hooper-Scharfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09640253872553303307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8266056566078305802.post-84836657371310966182012-03-01T05:31:00.808-08:002012-03-01T05:31:00.808-08:00On the comedy aspect of your post, I hear what you...On the comedy aspect of your post, I hear what you're saying, but it wasn't handicaps per se that were being mocked, it was two individuals - one a terrorist and one a disgraced politician, who happen to be handicapped. A very fine distinction I agree, but perhaps an important one. I think one can argue the toss in Blunkett's case, but most people would regard a terrorist who lost his hands making a bomb as fair game and deserving of little sympathy.

In the case of The Dandy - spot on.

Keep on slugging.Kidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07224781868125924337noreply@blogger.com
