Dear Reader,

This month, we’re taking a good look at the past … and the future.

To start with, the second half of Swan Song concludes the harrowing tale of a few French soldiers rebelling against the absurdity and inhumanity of the First World War – the so-called ‘War to End All Wars’. Still gorgeously illustrated by Cédric Babouche, Dorison and Herzet’s story is sure to touch and haunt you.

The past illuminates the present – a notion that is the basis of XIII Mystery. Each volume of this spinoff series to XIII focuses on the history of one of the many secondary characters, shedding light on their lives and what led them to cross Jason McLane’s path. What, for example, can create such a ruthless killer as Irina ...

Finally, it’s time to turn towards the not-so-distant future, with the conclusion to the scaringly plausible Human Stock Exchange. If you believe that high finance already owns human beings body and soul, well … Time to find out whether there’s still a way for people to resist!

October with Cinebook – who needs a time machine, anyway?

We also have a slew of reprints for you, with no less than six titles that will soon be available again from your local comic book stores:

Aldebaran 1 (The Catastrophe) and 2 (The Group)
Thorgal 0 (The Betrayed Sorceress), 3 (Beyond the Shadows), 4 (The Archers) and 6 (City of the Lost God)

Time to complete those collections!

No More New Books From Black Tower

Unfortunately no scanner and a rather aging PC that I am having to repair constantly is not helping, however, there are as I believe that I already mentioned: over 173 titles at the online books store covering horror, sci fi, action, humour and much more -and there are also the World Mystery Books.

There are ten scheduled books that have not and will not now appear for the simple reason that the produce them requires new scanner (A3) as well as a post 2010 computer -and I cannot afford a new camera let alone those items.

Sad but there you are; facts of life are quite simple and without sales (current sale stands at 94p which means I do not get that!). I am not closing the store or defunct-ing (which is not even a real word!) Black Tpower Comics and Books.  The trolls I have had to put yup with since the 1990s would love me to do that but no.

Until I can justify and have the equipment I can't do any more. Its sad that having been going since 1997 online that CBO can garner no support from the "comics community". Thousands of posts -many stolen and used by others as their own- and,,,I feel I have been posting to myself.

No more Halloween Specials for CBO because...why?

I am not going to go out of business like so many of the smaller Independents who have had no support. But I am not going to go over the top to provide a non existent "community" with free entertainment.

“The Ghost Hunter” “The Demon Stalker” “The Walker Amongst The Dead” “The Man of Dark Mystery” -he was called many things by journalists in his time.                         Until that one night.

During periods of dark melancholy, Dick uses the A-Z Case files to try to revive Vernon’s spirits (no pun intended). For the first time ever read about -

Elliott O’Donnell? Amateur.

Harry Price? Playing at it.

Dene Vernon? Dedicated professional putting his life (and probably soul) on the line in his search for knowledge and to defend the “innocents”

From the things lurking in the shadows and blackness of the night.

Things hiding and waiting in stately homes and council estates.

Waiting to consume or corrupt.

In the final part of the A-Z Case Files we find:

*The Knight of Knowle Manor

*The Graveney Wood Abduction Case

*The Threat of the Underwood Circle

Accounts that can only be presented now!
