Cinebook Newsletter 68 - August 2013

Dear Reader,
This month we have a treat for you, something that many of you have been asking for ever since we started translating “Spirou & Fantasio”. With The Marsupilami Thieves, we’re bringing you for the first time one of comic legend AndrĂ© Franquin’s “Spirou” stories. Franquin, an incredibly influential figure of Franco-Belgian comics, was at the series helm for 23 years, and his time is considered by some to be its golden age. You can now judge for yourself!
And speaking of legends, “Lucky Luke” is here, dealing once again with a Dalton infestation. Written by two of France’s most prominent novelists, this story will offer us a twist on the usual four-versus-one adventure, though. Saddle up!
Finally, we return to the decidedly inhospitable planet “Antares” to meet up with Kim Keller and her friends. Get ready for more fantastical creatures and a large helping of mysteries in this fourth episode.
August with Cinebook: legendary!

After their umpteenth defeat at Lucky Luke’s hands, the Dalton brothers get into a big argument that ends with the four of them splitting up. They make a deal: Whoever is first to get a million dollars will be the leader of the gang.…Read more
