Alexandria, year 12 BC. Accompanied by
his son Titus and Chephren, Alix Gracchus
now Roman senator, arrives in Alexandria, where he is on a mission on behalf of his friend and patron, the
powerful Emperor Augustus. Following the
tragic events in The Betrayal
of Raptors, Alix
must trace the general
Quintus Rufus whom Augustus suspected of being responsible for the murder of Agrippa and Lepidus.
Back in Egypt and
perhaps also a unique
opportunity for Alix, to finally
avenge the death of the father of
Khafre, Enak, his former companion on adventures. Alix is expected by an old acquaintance, the prefect Barbarus. But
also, in the shadow of other
characters, who obviously mean him no good ...

My review of this
new Alix series began with a review of volume 1 which can be found here http://hoopercomicart.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/casterman-alix-senator-les-aigles-de.html
The art is just
lovely and, I’ll slap myself later, far better than Jacques Martin’s –though there
was nothing wrong with it! Its just a
new look and new direction.
Wonderful.
