Very interesting and Diamond has been screwing money out of comic publishers for so long many are trying the book market by going more for trades.
The publisher will now distribute its comics and graphic novels through Random House Publisher Services.
Dark Horse intends to focus on sales in book stores beyond the direct market.
"The decision to move the book market portion of our business was very difficult," said publisher Mike Richardson.
"Diamond Book Distirbutors, our current book market distributor, has been a great partner for us for nearly a decade, but now it's time for a new approach, one we think helps us as we expand our prose and general book categories in traditional bookstores.
Richardson continues: "While we are moving a portion of our business, we know that Diamond will continue to be a strong and valuable partner in the comics speciality market."
Dark Horse has been with Diamond since 2002.
