Le Tueur a repris du service. Mais l’élimination (judicieuse) d’un agent de la C.I.A. présente un inconvénient : attirer l’attention. Haywood, l’associé du Tueur dans la compagnie pétrolière Petroleo Futuro Internacional, conseille à ce dernier de se faire discret et d’oublier temporairement leur ami commun Mariano, trop préoccupé par sa nouvelle carrière politique en Colombie… Et de fait, lorsqu’il croise Mariano à Bogota, le Tueur sent bien que leur relation a changé. À commencer par l’ingrédient indispensable lorsqu’on partage tant de secrets gênants : la confiance.

Par la suite, suivi par des inconnus en Martinique puis à La Barbade, le Tueur va pouvoir vérifier que son intuition était juste. Mais pas de la façon dont il l’imaginait : Mariano, son garde du corps éliminé, a soudainement disparu…

The Killer is back in service. But elimination of a CIA agent has the disadvantage of drawing attention. Haywood, partner of the Killer in the oil company Petroleo Futuro Internacional, advises the latter to be discreet and temporarily forget their mutual friend Mariano, too preoccupied with his new political career in Colombia ... And in fact, when Mariano crosses into Bogota, the killer feels that their relationship has changed.

Thereafter, unknowingly followed by Martinique and Barbados, the killer tries to verify  his intuition was right. But not in the way he imagined Mariano, his body guard removed, suddenly disappears ...

Not a bad series so far and the art has me “hmm-ing” and “ah-ing” but it works.  A nice series, but, again, I’ve been introduced to this very late in the run.
