Interesting....

On the various blogs (UK Golden Age, British Golden Age and Black Tower Comics -see blogroll), including CBO, I decided -at around 2330 hrs last night- to post some Stransky & Labbat strips.  Didn't expect much but the view count is high for all of them.

So, my question is simple: WHY are you people not buying Black Tower Comics with the work in?? Come one: do NOT make me have to pull the two fighting bad boys of comics apart again (or tell them "The cheque's lost in the post")

  1. Yer bound to get round to this one eventually, Stransky. Yes, there was a spike AFTER posting the comic strips. Just writing about it in the letter I'm writing to you. And nuclear attacks on Mars! wow (read the VERY bottom of that posting).

  2. Wahoo wahoo ! I'm popular ! I'm popular...at 25 seconds to midnight. I'll revel in my fame for as long as I can.
Seriously - if you can spot when the spike occured ( I know people are night owls but... ) it might give you some idea of who is reading. Nice to see the Unkle Twisted poster up - and you ARE smiling. Well...I've had a few hellish busy days - and I'll have a couple more ( just busy busy with all kinds of things. No big bad news, thank God. ) and then I'll get back to Mr.Apollo and hopefully Purple Hood. Well, got to go. I'm just glad you're smiling.

  3. Have you never heard of "death smile"? I smile and I scare folk. I don't like smiling. Nasty. And as for who reads what...well, Indonesia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, Latvia, Ukraine, Taiwan, Germany, Australia -you name the country (though I still miss China but we do get Hong Kong every so often) but Japan -I think one person does not register! A LOT from the US, some from the UK. And it is all time zone stuff -I can see number of views for Day, Yesterday, Week, Last month but when is another matter. Not sure of the time youi posted yoyur comment in Japan but I see "at 03:09" and you'll see posts by me from midnight on -I think it's because Blogger is set to their US clock and not local times. Also, as I said before: I can tell how many have followed the Twitter.FB links to CBO items but that's it. If a strip is on CBO then EVERY visitor that day will see it. So you do get a lot of exposure. I do hope ALL those who read the "Mars Attacked" posting read the small print at the bottom! The style you used on these strips is a nice one. Who is "God"??

  4. Glad you liked the style I used on the strips. The time I make comments is all over the place. Usually after work - so midnight plus -but also after I take my medicine ( I need to recover and so have a little free time, strangely ) so some of the messages may be a bit screwed up. Sorry. God seems to have forsaken me ( again ) I wanted to check the Dene Vernon pages again and ... I can't find them. Bugger. Who is 'God' ? I thought we'd wrapped that one up, Ward was god, McCail was Jesus and Jay the holy ghost... or and I out of it ? Hmm. I think I should go home and get some rest. For the record it is early - 10:40 pm - here. But I'm quite whacked from work ( and bad weather - hayfever y'know - plus alpha ) and so I'll slink off home. Seeya.

  6. The pages are on the Terry Hooper Scharf Black Tower Comics & Books blog. Still there despite alien intervention. You would ask, if you'd seen the pages, WHAT Thaddeus Twatt (I think the first Black Tower character to die...>?) was doing in 1942 blitzed Bristol hunting a Vampiron. If you saw all the pages you'd need oxygen and a sedative. :-/

  7. Also on the Black Tower Comics And Books blog!

  8. Thaddeus Twatt died ??!!? When I get back to the UK I'm going to have to read up on all the bits I'm missing in the BT Universe ! Last I read he was on a planet that had been taken over by Crystalids. My God am I in the dark sometimes !

  10. Pages now on the Black Tower Comics blog! Basically, when I drew this I wanted to wind everything up and leave no loose ends as I didn't think I was going to last long -it shows in the work and it's why Return was so short. Concluded. No dead ends. Anyway, enjoy!
