It's interesting hearing what old comic fans and collectors think. Especially those who have no interest in the money side of collecting comics they love.
I have seen one blog after another, one Vlog after another where the collector/comic fan is just dumping titles and making it clear how dumb it is that companies just started making a title a new run by adding #1 when nothing is different.
Poor writing and poor or weak art is mentioned over and over but despite all of this there is that loyalty to a character that no matter how bad it gets they stick to. It's the comic book version of crack cocaine. You just cannot give it up no matter how bad it gets because it is Captain America or Spider-Man.
And the number of people dropping Image titles is incredible -what is going on there?
Hippycollectibles, captainstrangelife and koestenbraunstar are three vloggers that make up my favourite "TV" evening (I don't have a TV set so there!). They tend to say what many others do and go to prove that what I and others write is not based on personal griping but fact.
And,please, remember: comics are meant to be fun. Do not let the dealers or comic stores co0n you into buying at huge prices. Walk away. Eventually they'll get the point and lower prices or go out of business. YOU are the customer and buyer and they should be vying for your £/$ fairly.
