BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - August 14, 2017 - The voting deadline for the 2017 Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards final ballot is upon us. The Ringo Awards Banquet and Ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Baltimore Comic-Con on the evening of Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Voting for the 2017 Ringo Awards Final Ballot has been exceptional, especially for the inaugural year of the event. The comic book industry creative community, from smaller press houses to Diamond Premier Publishers -- have shown up in force, and voting has been continual throughout the polling period. If you have voted already, thank you for participating and helping to spread the word to your co-workers and peers. If you haven't, please take a couple of minutes to complete the final ballot before the deadline this Wednesday, August 16, 2017. About Mike Wieringo

Michael Lance "Mike" Wieringo was known to fans and friends as "Ringo", which is how he signed his artwork. His comics artist graced the pages of DC Comics' The FlashAdventures of SupermanBatman, and Robin, Marvel Comics' Fantastic FourFriendly Neighborhood Spider-ManSensational Spider-Man, and Rogue, and his co-creation Tellos. He passed away on August 12, 2007 at the young age of 44 from an apparent heart attack.
