The stupidest dog in the West … and the richest!
When a former convict at the penitentiary where Rin Tin Can ‘works’ passes away, he leaves his entire fortune to … the stupidest dog in the West!
The inheritance includes multiple buildings in Virginia City, including most of Chinatown, which isn’t to everyone’s taste. Even worse, the will states that if anything should happen to Rin Tin Can, everything would then pass onto … Joe Dalton.
Following the inevitable escape of the four Daltons, Lucky Luke will have to protect the canine millionaire!
Okay, I know what you are thinking looking at that cover. Dog + Chinese men...No! If you look closely you will see that those four 'Chinese men' are none other than the Daltons. Considering that they keep trying to kill Rin Tin Can to gain the inheritance you might think that sinks into the canine's brain eventually. Ask any cat and it will tell you: "Dogs ain't that bright!"
And so the dafty mutt continues on.
There were a few old British comedy films involving pets inheriting and having some human then try to kill said pets. Really, some people!
You can probably guess that there are gags and more as our cowboy does his best and thatusually means the Daltons going back to gaol (jail)....before being released again...no wonder the US legal system is in a mess!
Volume 75 -I missed the first 5(?) volumes but these are now books I keep handy for a chuckle (my sister thinks its me choking).  Love to one day see the original 1948 (or 1949?) Lucky Luke strips one day!
