Both these pages are wonderful! Familiar as well, it could be that I have these represented in my own collection. You say these were in the collection of Mr Ramon le Croix himself? So beautifully drawn and inked.
I have no idea which Bob you were thinking of. This Bob (handle Bogof) wasvery surprised to find all the comic sets shown hereand on the other CB site, in Boys's papers as every 'expert' states vlearly that these were story papers ONLY and unspoilt by the cruderies of comic strips. So either they are repeating dogma or do not have copies of the papers themselves so are talking shit again.

ReplyDeleteWhere did I write Mr Ramon le Croix???
ReplyDeleteAh. Not THE Bob that I was thinking of? Maybe I'm off on the wrong track? Mind you, the heating was off today and brains gone fuddled.

ReplyDeleteWell, these comics illustrations are genuinely beautiful and it makes me glad to see them. As for these so-called 'experts'.
