The 44 page sequel to last year's HELGA FRANKENSTEIN: BLOOD & TAXES is no on sale on this very blog! Helga is back in THE HALFMOON KILLER!

A new exploit for HELGA FRANKENSTEIN (the patchwork daughter of the infamous Victor Frankenstein!) and SISTER GENEVIEVE (vampire nun!) in the hidden European land of GOLGOTHICA (where ungodly creatures of every shape and kind, living in relative peace with mortal men!)

A series of mysterious abductions and murders have beset a nearby town. They seem to have all the hallmarks of rogue werewolf attacks, but strangely don’t coincide with the full moon. Could a half-wolf-half-vampire be to blame? The villagers have called on a lupin bounty-hunter to slay the killer!

Can even Helga survive an encounter with the monstrous creature behind the attacks? Find out in ‘The Halfmoon Killer’ by writer John A. Short (British National Comics Award winner) & illustrated by Gabrielle Noble (artist of Octobriana & Ardnox High)

It's one of the weird coincidences that I was reading the original book (highly recommended) and thought to myself that it should really have been built up on as everything had that "Give 'em more!" feel to it. Then the postie delivers a package and...a new volume starring Helga.  I ought to point that the first Helga Frankenstein book sits on my shelf on top of (oo-er) Vampirella  Crimson Chronicles

Well, two American site have called CBO "The review site to go to" and, I blush as I accept that title and not just because there are certain trolly little men in the UK who will be grinding their teeth at that!

Noble turns in another treat with art and the various scene setting colours work perfectly. Look at that cover -almost tells you what to expect and in all honesty that should sell the book to anyone interested in horror comics.  Fair to say that this is far less pun-filled than Short's usual work and there is no problem with that as this is no Carry On Screaming imitation. Some graphic and bloody violence and an ending that left me asking "Is there going to be a book 3??!"

Recommended and check out Kult's other titles on their site.
