Oh blimey. Him too? I first saw John Romita's work in the Spiderman Comics Weekly back in the seventies. No matter who inked his pencils, you could recognize a Romita drawing - as you would Buscema! Funny, I can't remember who the inker was who did the massive amount of work with the final polish to get JR's work to the finished printed page. Dammit! I should, but memory beats me. Did Joe Sinnott do it? Of course, his Gwen and Mary Jane were just stunning. In my memory, the Spiderman characters always look Romita-ish, even though Steve Ditko preceded him. The memory serves up J Jonah, Peter, Flash, Harry Osborn, Joe Robertson and Randy, all the students and all the villians like Green Goblin, The Rhino, Doctor Octopus, Electro and The Vulture as Romita characters. - and in black and white and zipatone
