Dear Reader, This month, there’s a whiff of revolution in our new titles, a hint of upheaval … and the certainty of excitement. Ready to meet our troublemakers? First, the focus in Thorgal has shifted to his son Jolan, and the supernaturally gifted young Viking finds himself tasked with nothing less than leading an army to storm Asgard, realm of the Gods! Don’t worry, though – Thorgal himself is still around, and fate has more trouble in store for him. The third volume of The Fortune of the Winczlavs concludes the story of Largo Winch’s family, taking us to 1965 Yugoslavia and through the tragic history of this region of the world in the late 20th Century – a Communist dictatorship followed by devastating civil war. It also offers us a more detailed portrait of Largo’s adoptive father Nerio, a figure that looms large in the main series but didn’t get much chance to develop. And yes, we finally get to know who Largo is exactly! Finally, XIII’s world has been irrevocably changed after the previous episode, and it appeared that the same was true of our hero, who … joined the ‘Dark Side’!
