Very off topic, but as I readying to go back to hospital to have a bit more cut out , I've had time to review Sherlock Holmes , both TV movies.... Edward Woodward, Christopher Lee, Jeremy Brett, Peter Cushing etc al.... and I've come to the conclusion that - while the stories were sometimes lacking - Basil Rathbone was the personification of the character. Hate me if you like. Basil was best ! TTFN
Despite Cushing, etc. I think Rathbone and Bruce (s Watson) were the two that really embodied the parts and their 1930s-1940s run is still very popular. Good luck and speedy recovery!
