I often say that the lack of comment or even book sales from CBO posts is hard to explain. I have had people try to argue that I MUST be getting sales with the number of views. I do not.
People do not want to support anything (well, the grifters seem to get a lot of support) and as for sponsorship on a site with a world wide audience and millions of views -no one interested. People want to grab what they can for free and "*** you!" as someone put it.
The non comic AOP blog has a world wide audience and until yesterday I never realised that views had gone over a million -1,167,816 to be precise. One of the other blogs has 80,170 views and these, like the other blogs (I have a few) all have world wide audiences,
Again "You MUST be making sales!" is something I hear from those who look at the figures. I'm eating beans on toast here for a meal so, yeah, I must be 'rich'!
Just putting this here as I was sent screen shots from a comic forum where it was stated that I make enough money from just CBO to afford a good car and a house. I have never driven a car in my life (I drove a forklift truck once and slightly damaged a wall) and I am in a council "bungalow" and it just took seven years to get a leak in the ceiling fixed. Yeah, loaded I am.
