Capaldi First Dr Who Actor Snubbed In Awards Shortlist

 I tend to spot trends.  You look at all the bilge on the internet and newspapers and it flows by. I was trained to spot things.

For instance, Kaley Cuoco -very popular in The Big Bang Theory.  Cuts her hair short and gets married and "suddenly" she is an "awful actress" and needs to be replaced -and her hair -OMG the amount of internet hating and arguing!

We often see how, when a music group breaks up, anything members of it do as solo artists ends up getting them crucified.  I could cite one example after another.

And now a very good, fine actor, has taken over the role of Dr Who and EVERYTHING is wrong with it from A to Z.  As a foul-mouthed spin doctor everyone loved Capaldi.  He was great as the scheming Cardinal in the BBC TV series The Three Musketeers -it was a joy watching him.

"He's going to be Dr Who -YAY!!!"

His run starts and out come the daggers.  This latest insult must have him wondering what he did wrong?

He did NOTHING wrong.  It's the bitchy, whiny internet and media who just do not want to enjoy anything and it boosts THEIR tiny little egos to sit gleefully writing their limp lines of nastiness while the soap fed masses repeat what they have read because it makes them seem hip and trendy -"Oh, I've been saying this since the start!" they'll declare like vacuous bowel movements.

Worryingly there are increasing rumours that the BBC are looking for a cancellation excuse.

What worries me is that I'm sitting here defending Dr Who --when did the fabric of reality alter???

Peter Capaldi has failed to make the shortlist for top drama performance at the National Television Awards - the first time the star of Doctor Who has been snubbed since the sci-fi show was revived by the BBC.

His predecessors Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Matt Smith have all previously triumphed for their role as The Doctor at the annual prize bash.

Instead, this year's contenders are Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch and Happy Valley's Sarah Lancashire, as well as Sheridan Smith lining up against her namesake Dame Maggie.

Sheridan, who received an OBE in the New Year honours list, has been included for her lead role in ITV's Cilla, while Dame Maggie is up for her performance as the Dowager Countess in Downton Abbey.

Doctor Who does not miss out entirely, lining up against Sherlock, Downton and Cilla for the best drama award.

Peter has just completed his first full season as The Doctor, having taken over from Matt Smith, who twice won the top acting award at the NTAs, and was shortlisted on a further two occasions. David won for four years consecutively and Christopher triumphed for his one year in the role, following Doctor Who's rebirth in 2005.
