A couple years back I made it clear that contacts had stated Yahoo were closing down its Groups. I was told this was paranoid (as I always am before being proven right -like with Kevin Feige taking over Joe Quesada's job at Marvel).
With tech problems and so on Yahoo! and its 'customer service' have persistently and continually lied in a planned and deliberate way to its members. They are plain proven liars.
Yahoo has made the decision to no longer allow users to upload content to Yahoo Groups site. Beginning October 28 you won't be able to upload any more content to the site, and as of December 14 all previously posted content on the site will be permanently removed. You'll have until that date to save anything you've uploaded
Britcomics, which is the online presence of the British Comic Book Archives and was set up in 2004 has more than 5000 British comic book history photos and images some of which are very rare. There are files and biographies compiled over the last couple of decades...will be gone. Move to another site? And do what -upload thousands more images until that closes?
Money and greed are behind the many internet closures and I have no doubt that blogger -owned by Google- will be destroyed permanently rather like Google killed off You Tube.
