PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.

ahem. Yes, John Short again.  It really cannot be helped though :-)

Some slick black and white art here and that cover shows a good use of balance using the two negatives.  That alone makes me look twice!

How to explain?  Oh, I’ll quote the Kult Creations web site:

“If you’ve never met the Reverend Abigail Cross before, get ready for one Hell of a sermon, cuz she isn’t your average vicar.

Hidden from the public, the Church of England has been fighting a secret war against the forces of darkness for centuries. It’s their job to manage the creatures that live in our midst and take them down when they get out of hand. They must have agents trained to fight the vampires, werewolves and ghouls who threaten our world. Licensed to kick demon ass.

The vicar of the sleepy Dorset village of Sunnybrook is one of those agents. She is under the direct orders of the Archbishop of Canterbury with all the resources of the Church at her beck and call.

And when she has captured something that can’t be killed, what does she do then? That’s what the custom-built prison beneath the Tower of London is for. Created by William the Conqueror to imprison the Behemoth it has now grown into the hub of the Church’s special operations.

If Abby’s been set on your trail you’d better say your prayers!”

Honestly, poor old Reverend Merriwether would never approve.  That said, there is a novel use for a thong so I’m wondering whether Merriwether ought to wear a th–  no. No.

This is cracking good fun.  Okay, once or twice there’s a figure that you think is “off” BUT it seriously does not make the slightest bit of difference.  This is sheer fun from cover to cover and I hope Short and Dennis produce more Cross.

Go on, buy a copy!
