The brand new Superman Annual features a host of cool comic adventures starring the Man of Steel himself, Superman, everyone's favourite villain, Lex Luthor, and the best stories set in Metropolis. Find out all about the Man of Steel, the planet Krypton, Superman's friends and enemies, and much more!

Is it a secret that I do not read DC comics now?  Well, "Slow News Day" had a few nice touches of art by Joelle Jones but the story was not that original.  However, we are not talking about what a 57 year old likes here!  "A Day In The Life" had some nice art by Wes Craig (P) and Craig Yeung (I).  But, oddly considering I mentioned writer Rob Williams in regard to "Ordinary" he is the writer of "Savior" with incredible art by Chris Weston -and the colouring -WOW. Nick Jones (P) and Al Nickerson (I) provide the typically animated blocky art for "Star Conqueror" which brings in the Justice League.  I've looked at the latter strip a few times and there is some appeal to it....but once you've had Perez you can't go back.

All-in-all, not bad since it has some text features in it.  Not the great type of annual we had in my day that would set you back a few shillings (yeah, I'm THAT old but if you don't like my peaches don't shake the tree).

Kids ought to enjoy this and if it gets them reading or even drawing that is a big plus point!!
