CLALLAM BAY, WASHINGTON - The 7th annual Clallam Bay Comicon will be held July 7-8, 2018, n the Lion's Club Hall in Clallam Bay (90 Bogachiel Street), on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula.
This year's guest creative is Carla Speed McNeil, whose Finder series has taken sci-fi drawn books by storm. The series has won the Ignatz Award three times, and has been repeatedly nominated for the prestigious Eisner award. "Finder: Voice" won the 2011 Los Angeles Times Book Prize. The Comics Alliance has listed McNeil one of twelve women cartoonists deserving of lifetime achievement recognition.
Clallam Bay Comicon is held simultaneously with Clallam Bay/Sekiu Fun days, which includes not only a parade, an art show and fireworks, but now a band festival. It will all be a bigger blast than ever.
The Clallam Bay Comicon has no admission fee, and very low sales table rates; first-come, first-served. Peninsula businesses and communities are encouraged to offer welcoming specials or events to Comicon attendees.
