Atlas Comics: Phoenix #6 -What A Surprise!!!

Phoenix #6

Phoenix #6
ATLAS Comics
W) Brendan Deneen, Jim Krueger (A/CA) Dean Zachary

The first electrifying Phoenix story-arc comes to a conclusion as Ed takes the fight back to the aliens who abducted him! But nothing is what it seems as enemies become allies and allies become bitter foes!

Now, with the exception of Wulf  I have been rather harsh on the new Atlas line which, as we now know have characters of similar names to the 1970s Atlas characters but are not.

So, I picked up my copy of Phoenix #6 in Forbidden Planet.  First thing: the cover might have worked if not for those gawd awful legs!!! What the hell happened there?????

Anyway, I sat down to read the comic when I got home and was thinking “Issue six…good point to cancel my standing order at!” But I was very surprised.  Same team but the art has picked up tremendously.  The story -finally- gets somewhere.

If the team avoid the constant killing off of the character and now get into their stride I will not be cancelling but sticking with it.

Still, that cover…!
