This is where it all started. Chung Ling Soo: the World’s greatest conjurer and, unknown to the world at large, a consultant to Scotland Yard in some of its strangest cases.

In this story, Chung Ling Soo is called in by Scotland Yard to investigate a gruesome series of deaths -all amongst a party of English businessmen who, many years before, discovered a Jade Dragon statuette in China.

Is the statuette cursed? How can a man be killed in a locked room? And can only a supernatural explanation account for how two policemen and the man they were guarding were hacked-up?  Can Chung stop any other deaths?

This book includes the original Chung Ling Soo 3 pager: “The Theatre”
