Bit off topic. I'm just remembering : Platinum Age 1756-1938, Golden Age 1939-1949, Silver Age 1950-1976, Bronze/. Modern Age 1977 - ... Wasn't there a Diamond Age ? Maybe I'm misremembering and making Diamond Distributors an age unto itself ! Horror of horrors....

The Modern [Bronze Age] ~ 1977-1980 after which comics in the UK collapsed and that was it
1980 ? That seems a bit early...
DeleteWell in the US they had all the British talent that revive3d and kept their comics going. In the UK we saw Action, 2000 AD and Buster and then most other titles were scrapped so that we had no really new stuff. Even now Rebellion reprints a lot of old IPC stuff and 2000 AD but the industry collapsed after an upturn due to 200AD, New Eagle etc. So let's say (its what I meant to type) 1977-1984 and after that...well if you can find a British comic in a news agents that is not product6 advertising...
