I am, of course, a complete and utter idiot. I think I’ve written that the Purple Hood stories were written by Michael Jay -because that’s what John Spencer told me. I assumed, as I could find no reference to Gerald Wood that it was a pseudonym Jay used.WRONG!
I just found a tatty note that I wrote in 1988(?) that Gerald Wood had done other writing for Spencer -possibly in either his scifi or horror pulps.
Well, none of us is perfect!
