PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.
Thank You

The Importance of the UK in Blog Views

I have to say that when it comes to blogging the main audience is not UK based as some assume (since I am in the UK).

Even at the very start when I use Freeservers, MySpace, Yahoo360, Google Plus and WordPress, the audience tended to be more international. I did try to specifically cater to UK comic fans and comic creators but on the whole the creators were a very negative experience. I pushed and promoted events free of charge but, again, this was taken advantage of.

I decided that rather than try to pull in UK readers I would just post reviews and things that I was interested in and as I have been into comics since the mid 1960s I had a lot of interests. Language did not matter since a comic well done tells its story via images. Chinese, Polish, Czechi, Russian, French, German -blah blah blah -if it was a comic I was in.

I also decided that the odd music video might entertain (or annoy) and although I originally tried to work out was popular (to post more of that) there was no common trend. I gave up since there was an international audience I just kept posting and even now old posts still get read so I just decided to carry on and not question things.

With dyscalculia stats never actually worried me since they are a jumble to my eyes (dyscalculia is basically numerical dyslexia which is why I always triple check figures using a calculator!.

Mind you, I do notice when Blogger knocks the odd couple of million views off CBOs totals every so often (I am watching you Blogger).

I decided to present the all time (current with CBO) views of some of the blogs to show why the UK is not the focus; UK interest in its own comics history is very poor. So enjoy the numbers -it's all Alphabeti-spaghetti to me!

Comic Bits Online all time: as I was putting this together there was the "Blogger renumber" again. Every so often Blogger seems to delete not thousands but millions of views and once they reach a certain number we get slapped back down again -this time to 5.12 million. However, the countries doing most viewing seem to not change.

We'll pretend that we never saw "unknown region" -right? I still worry about thge two regular views we used to get from Antarctica and how those views suddenly stopped one day!
