PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.

I Had A Complaint

I opened my email and found one from someone who had purchased a copy of The Green Skies Part 1 over three weeks ago. He wanted to know where it was as he had paid £25.00 post free.

I checked and there was no such order at my online store -if there is a problem with an order I can chase up the printers.  So I asked for order number etc that you get when ordering. I was told he never got one. I asked WHERE he had ordered from? Some joker on Ebay it seems.

Firstly "post free" items are NOT post free the cost is in what you are paying. This person paid £25 rather than order the £15 book from the online store and, again, said he went for Ebay to avoid paying postage.

This is how it works: someone on Ebay orders a book which can take 9-13 days to print and then be sent to them. They resell on Ebay but often do not even have a copy of the book so they will either order a copy with your address, etc and you have to wait 9-13 days OR they will buy the book and wait 9-13 days, remove the invoice so you have no idea of the real cost, then post it off to you.  You get screwed over while trying to screw me over -tough tits.

NEVER order from an Ebay seller or Amazon seller as the price is vastly over inflated to make them money -ditto other online book sellers. The point is that Amazon gets a book cheaper than I can order it myself because they are Amazon. £1.75 they paid for a £10 book and sold it for £25 +postage extra. How much did I get? Not even that £1.75 because Amazon is allowed to screw creators.

Over 10 years I have had five buyers all complain about books delayed getting to them and all paid on average £20-25 per book.  Here is the simple truth: you order for a reseller at an over inflated price and then start stamping and screeching at me.... I do not care. I have had NOTHING to do with a reseller and you buy in a way that rips me off of 'profit' I need to continue?  Guess my response.

DO NOT get ripped off or messed about. Use the online store with its back up.
