After the terrifying discovery of the monolith in the red zone, the children must now adapt to having Dodzi back among them – something they never expected. Problem is, Saul, too, is back, and the Clan of the Shark has relocated to Campton. While Ivan begins investigating the 15 families that his father once mentioned, a territorial struggle begins between the two groups – one that soon turns to open war. And Saul will stop at nothing to assert his authority.
How good is this series? At first I read the concept and thought it was going to stink like a refuse collectors arm-pit. However, I got hooked by the first book. Did you know there is a French movie based on the series coming out next year titled Seuls (Alone)? You can even see the trailer on the Face Book page:
Or here:
This volume sees more action and unlike the much older looking teens in the movie the youngsters in the comic album makes things seems stranger, darker and in this volume...well, that cover should tell you a lot.
It is a great series and I hope they do translate Seuls into English but if they don't there are still these books that I don't think any film is going to out do!
I picked up that very issues of "Alone" in FP in Glasgow based on the lovely art. I actually forgot I had this as I went on me holidys a few days later (only back to the 9-5 this week) so thanks for the reminder, it did look very good.
ReplyDeleteThe comic series is great. A choice between that and the film....comic series!
