Cinebook Ltd Newsletter 187 - July 2023

Dear Reader,

It’s a month of new beginnings here at Cinebook, with three series making their debut in the English-speaking world!

Let’s start with Highlands, a two-part period epic set in Scotland at the time of the Jacobite Rebellion that led to the Battle of Culloden. Amidst the gorgeous landscapes of Alba, a tragic love story unfolds, with betrayal, loss, revenge, and a great deal of painting … and the conclusion will be available next month.

We stay in roughly the same time, but trade Scottish rain for Caribbean sun, and kilts for pirate hats: here comes Redbeard! The golden age of piracy may be over by 1738, but not the age of adventure, and even if the former ‘Terror of the Seven Seas’ has become a privateer, he hasn’t lost his edge. Embark on a tale of hard men and tall ships, me hearties!

Finally, jump forward a century or so, and keep going west – to the Wild West of old. There, you will be able to see, for the first time, the life of a legend of the Frontier, a true icon of American history … Rin Tin Can, the dumbest dog in the West, in his own adventures! Without Lucky Luke, maybe, but with Morris’s art and the same hilarious shenanigans the airheaded pooch always gets up to. Enjoy the silliest Western ever!

July with Cinebook - now's the day, an’ now's the hour!
