Those are some good books you published, Terry. Thanks for putting up the Dene Vernon one's…. they're not bad are they ? But you're right. Publishing and getting published is not easy. Best to do things for fun and build a network of friends to share your work with rather than try to go for the money. Money's important, don't get me wrong, but if that's the goal from the outset, you're ignoring the two most important aspects of comic creation... the art and the fun. ReplyDeleteIts about 200 books on the online store BUT the company that shall not be named had another bloody awful "system upgrade" and for some reason moved some of my books to Terry Hooper and others to Terry Hooper Scharf! The Vernon books are but sadly nothing sells. There are no events to get out to and sell and I kept prices so low for 10 years to attract customers (I've up priced things as that never worked). The UK i9s not the place to produce comics. Enjoy reading them and that's about it but if you have to put all the books together, upload and do all the tedious stuff the fun goes! Comics should be fun but maybe I need a move to Europe? When I get that £1 million I'll be moving. The Thinker says I am "f****" but he can be a pain at times :-)
DeleteI loathe it when companies shunt stuff about! I want to get hold of the book that has the information about foxes. It's about £25 if I remember. I suspect the link won't work now!! Actually, considering I'm talking to the creator, could you send a link to the usual - or, better still, to the one that gets to you the most cabbage? Yours in hope and prayer - the Hitch Method.
