PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.

Indian Warriors Album....includes added Zulus!!

This is a rarity. Never heard of it or seen it before. The publisher is Gerald Swan and there is no date given -as was fairly standard unless it was an album then the year appeared on the contents page. But this is not all British artwork.

Ron Embleton provides Wakawn Chief of the Winnebagoes, John McCail provides Red Ambush -a Kit Carson Story but also, uh....Assegais in the Sun....just where and how Zulus fit into this book I have no idea. It could just be a space filler around the main story ion the album.

Last of the Mohicans is taken from the American Novelty Press title Target Comics adapted and drawn by Harold DeLay from Vol. 2 No. 12, February 1942.

Evil Killer is another American strip set in Africa and though I have seen it before I cannot identify the source.

So Swan books continue to surprise. My guess is that this album is late 1940s does GCD says "1950"
