The initial two volumes of Airborne were published in 2009.  In 2011 a follow-up third volume was published which I reviewed here:
http://www.comicbitsonline.com/2011/10/04/airborne-44/

The action continues –all very accurately drawn and well-paced.  This volume sees the end of the war, at least in France, and the final end to the turmoil of our heroes –Gavin and Joanne- and this, for Gavin, holds a very bitter twist.  Bitter-sweet might be the best way of putting it –and the final panel looking at New York was a nice touch.

All the grim realities are here and for me this showed the contrast between American comics set in World War II and those from Europe where, let’s face it, the frontline was!

Excellent.
