Steve Scott Issue of “Captain Victory” Hits the Stands!

US Market–  Comic artist Steve Scott’s was recently honored to finish out the legendary “Batman” series at DC Comics, leading up to the New 52. Currently his work will be seen on special issues of “Captain Victory” for Dynamic Forces–In stores now! Look for Steve’s pencils and inks on the next issue as well!

Milestone works for Steve included “X-Men Forever” with writer Chris Claremont, an amazing Green Lantern special project at DC Comics, and “Batman Confidential”! Not to mention that Steve is also the ONLY artist tapped by DC Comics to do any work relating to “Batman Forever,” depicting the now legendary turn of Heath Ledger as The Joker. (Look for Steve’s work in the Blue-Ray disc release of the movie!)

Steve is indeed certainly no stranger to media tie-in’s. His work has also often been seen on the television show Smallville. As well as doing some darn good likenessess for the recent “Indiana Jones–Tomb of the Gods,” comic book series for Dark Horse to coincide with the Harrison Ford movie! In fact, George Lucas liked Steve’s work so much that he purchased most of the originals to keep for himself!

Beginning his comics career at Malibu Comics and his popular stint on Razor” for London Night, as well as “New Warriors,” “Hourman,” and “JLA” for Marvel and DC Comics–With a resume like that, one wouldn’t think that at one time, Steve led a duel life as firefighter by day and artist by night– for more than sixteen years!

These two careers melded when our nation was in crisis after September 11th, when Steve was asked to take part in DC Comics “The Worlds Finest Comic Book Writers & Artists Tell Stories to Remember,” honoring the heroes of 911. Steve was selected among the few to contribute to this historical collection, which was later exhibited, and is now archived, at the Library of Congress.

For collector’s of Steve Scott, be sure to also check out his work on “Shadowpact,” “The Creeper” with writer Steve Niles, and “Checkmate.” He got a particularly special kick out of bringing to life some of DC Comics strangest characters like Detective Chimp, Rex the Wonder Dog, Rag Man, The Phantom Stranger and many others. And we shouldn’t leave out “Magik” and “Exiles” as well as “Marvel Adventures featuring Fantastic Four, The Avengers, and The Hulk. And a Kyle XY one shot for Disney/ABC with writer Jeff Parker. Much to look for!

In other words, Steve Scott is busy making comics, in an industry he loves, which is a good thing for his ever growing number of fans.
