PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.
Thank You

It says it all.  The greedy who only want "more" have decided that hospital and other emergency service cut backs are okay and the long term sick and poor can just screw themselves and head off to the record number of UK food banks.

One day those voters will need the fire service, police or medical emergency services and as they wait....and wait...I hope their greed gives them comfort.

End of any political discussion.

  1. it's a particular brand of social weeding . I found that out when I ceased to be a carer , I just dropped off the map . It didn't matter that thirty years of my life had been used up , plus my health and sanity . The only thing that mattered was " was I fit for work or not ? " . The fact that I had been hospitalized and there were signs of " self neglect " , which should have explained everything to anyone with an ounce of human compassion and common sense , that the last year or so of virtually 27/7 one to one caring with no hope of delegating to anyone else took every vestige of strength that I had , both mentally and physically , meant absolutely nothing . Well , I'm a survivor , just , so bugger them .

  2. I am assuming that dying was an available option , and as far as this government is concerned , probably the preferable one .

  3. I just heard the news. Unbelievable. John: dying is not an option. You get your face ground into the mud often - not just by politicians but by may people - even yourself. There is only one answer. To get back up and live a life. To love ( and be loved ) to care ( and have someone care about you ) to create things for others to share, and to have hope - that others can join in on. We often live in reaction to things -and then wait for the next attack to react again.. and react again..but as you said: "bugger them". It's up to us to live a life. So let's live it while we can, with whatever we've got left. Luvya.

  5. In Germany the big coalition plans to raise the value added tax rate on sugar and sweets from the lower 7 percent to the higher 19 percent tax rate. According to them to prevent chronic diseases but it´s really just another scheme to squeeze more money out of tax payers.

Better hoard those Snickers bars while they are cheap......

  6. Subzero -see, having grown up in Germany I think taxing sugar might be a good thing! Oh gods, the baker coming round to the village with his cart every day with the slab cakes of apple or plum.....and real whipped cream on strawberries....and the lovely, lovely different types of real chocolate bar (not the crap we get in the UK)........ohhhh, I'm punishing myself thinking about it!!!

    1. After rapture, isn't there a droop? In reply to your reply. Yes, thanks. We can be our worst enemy and think our way around these things. Fortunately, enough of the stuff that I had years ago was around as a support unit . As a computer system that had to 'shake hands' with another, I had to attempt one with my younger self and reassemble the fractured bits. So far, this is working. So far, as an archive with some bits still missing. Archival retrieval program in progress. Terry: kunstlerliebenstimmung: good . Chocolate and cakes: naughty!
