PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.
Thank You

Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian comic books

One thing that I wanted to do was take a look at comics from the Baltic States.  Sadly, a bit like Sweden, I never get to see or hear about what is being produced there.  I mean -they MUST have comic books surely?

Anyway, if any publishers from those countries read this and would like some publicity -get in touch via comments and I'll forward my email.

Thanks!

  1. I visited Riga (Letland) a few years ago , and there are some antique book stores there , but couldn't find old comics . In Estland there is more to find . Asterix , Tintin are translated in Estonian, but the are older comics to find , f.i. Pildivihik magazine (which means Picture Book). In google there are pictures

  2. Hullo! First of all THANK YOU for commenting. It does seem odd that it is so difficult to get information from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania etc on comics produced there. CBO does get some views from these countries so you have to believe some are comic fans or produce their own small press comics and would want people to know about them. Despite covering Russia, Ukraine and even Poland and Chechia I still know far more about Finnish comics than I do about comics from those countries. Thanks again.
