PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.
Thank You

Philippe Vandevelde "Tome" 24 February 1957 – 5 October 2019

CFrom Cinebook the 9th Art:

It is with infinite sadness that we have heard of the death of Philippe Tome at 62.

Tome is known to Cinebook readers as the writing half of "Tome & Janry", the pair who revitalised Spirou & Fantasio in the 1980s. He was also the creator of the tremendously funny and beloved "Petit Spirou", threw himself into hard-boiled cop story "SODA" out of love for New York City, and received numerous awards during his life.

With his passing, it's a chapter of BD history that closes, and he will be sorely missed.
