PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.
Thank You

BOOKED! a book festival …in a day...or "it was a con!"

I am re-posting this here since I hear a new con(fidence trick) might be in the works.

It all started when the former organiser of the Bristol Comic Expo sent out this message:

"I've mentioned that con event and here is what was promised and who to look out for (though I am told the two women have moved on to other things)
"After co-producing the SCARDIFF Horror Convention last year and the aniManga POP! show in Plymouth last month, time to add yet another COMIC EXPO style Convention and where better than Bristol to do so….
FANTASY EVENTS are delighted to announce the

What we got was an unpublicised event and I have still to find one mainstream publisher from the UK or Europe who were invited. Just a few small pressers were there based on the recommendation of the former Bristol Expo organiser.

Try getting your money back...I did try and the organisers had "vanished"

Warning given
