PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.
Thank You

Alternative Press -THIS Weekend!

At least this time I get 48 hours to mention the event -last time it was the night before!

And Bristol's Paul Ashley Brown will be there.

  5:53 AM
2 DAYS TO GO! MAY 10 #TAKEOVER

In collaboration with the London Radical Bookfair and the Alliance of Radical Booksellers, Alternative Press will be at the Bishopsgate Institute on May 10th.

From 10am - 5pm and with help of 85 small press exhibitors, we will take over three floors to champion zine-making and DIY alongside radical publishing and bookselling.
The full list of exhibitors can be found here and a preview of what to expect (courtsey of Broken Frontier's lovely Andy Oliver) can be found here.

In addition to our awesome small press fair we will exhibit our take on the Bread and Roses Shortlist, as well as host Private Eye cartoonist David Ziggy Greene's illustrated journalism workshop, Gareth Brookes' Embroidery Circle, and Prowl's Get Lucky Workshop on how to generate a story from chance.... Oh and let's not forgot Studio Mothership and Animaux Circus' Printing Station (complete with a letterpress) and the first outing of OIMP!

All details about our full workshop programme can be found here.
Also a massive thank you to all who submitted a poster design - a selection of which is on the left and can be found in all their glory here as well as adorning the streets of London town!
Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday. Entry is free and directions to Bishopsgate Institute = here.
Love AP xxx
