PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.
Thank You

Hey, let's get back to the Black Knight

I forwarded a copy of this scan to some collectors who laughed at the asking price of £70. So I asked what was wrong with it. The list was long.

The main noticeable thing is of course that the staple goes THROUGH the front cover and not the spine "$40 reader copy" I was told.  "Wear and chipping to cover edges and water damage or some kinda wave/crease alongside the bottom front cover" Then came "Colour wear/colour breaks"

I explained that it was listed as "Good" -"The seller wear glasses?" Bit unfair but, yes, "fair" I was told "Which ain't better than Good". I had guessed that.  See images below.

The next one for £60 got the response "Nope. Not going there. Junk it or maybe a reader copy"

See if you can see why others thought5 I was trying to "pull their chain"

UK comic collectors tend to be the prey of the unscrupulous because we have very few back issue comic shops while the US has flea markets, antique shops, comic book stores everywhere and so on.

Dane Whitman as the Black Knight has been dropped by Marvel movies after the disaster of The Eternals movie and he is not seen as a major Marvel character as anyone who knows about Marvel comics knows. Charlie and his putty knife" in one issue of the Avengers (do you know which?) MUST be a key as he is name and seen with the putty knife -after all one Avengers issue had a high asking price as it featured the first named Wakandan character (in one brief panel)!
