A plunge into the heart of British India

Late nineteenth century . having arrived in India from London, the protagonists of this new cycle of India Dreams see the sum of their destinies gradually interweave, often in dark or threatening way ...

In Calcutta, Judge Arthur Byle Cybilland his wife, watch helplessly as their young son Winston succumbs to a violent fevers from the disease ridden marshes. Meanwhile, Agra, Captain Redfield and Percy Law, who first met attempting a violent but failed rape, manage to settle their differences peacefully  thanks to the intervention of Professor Sybellius . While Redfield, now scarred, again takes the path to Rajasthan at the head of a troop of sepoy lancers to break up a rebellion, the horizon seems to finally light up for Percy, who finds his beloved Abe but fails to  realize that investigator Pimlicottis is now following in his footsteps ...
India as a strong and heady perfume, and all the romantic talent Maryse and Jean -François Charles can evoke the deep soul

French not being my second language, I normally get through these books but despite the nice art I just cannot get into it. I started getting this series with volume 7(?) and to be honest if you start sending a reviewer books toward the end of the series run you cannot expect glowing reviews.

Nice art is all I can say -oh, and some violent scenes!
