Interesting that the UK and British Golden Age blogs have been visited by a total of 37,755 times and my Yahoo group more than that.
Only two of those 37,755 people bought Golden Age reprint books.
Everyone wants to grab things for free but support the work by buying? No.
I am closing the blogs. Too much work for nothing. Sad and very, very depressing
I had the upsurge in interest might bring about sales but it seems to have only allowed more images and info to be stolen and used by others.
Anyway, putting this year's one sale into perspective and ignoring Tweet and all the other numbers, just blog views, the total so far this year is...
4,246,103
one sale
It is a sad that all the negativity and harassment over 20 years from the 'nice guys' in British comics and all their antics mean nothing. I do not even think of those people as they are quite sad people.
What has killed me off are the alleged comic fans and supporters of independent comics -especially those writing on comic forums that they have "just ordered" books from me to show how they support independent creators -I can tell you that those people are lying. I know of only two people on comic forums who have purchased my books.
Over 40 years and to see comics in the UK come down to 'fans' stealing via illegal downloads and thinking that is okay and not showing an iota of support for the home grown industry.
That is very, very depressing.
Goodbye.
