PLEASE Consider Supporting CBO

Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. Money from sales of Black Tower Comics & Books helps so please consider checking out the online store.

2015: Black Tower Will Be 31 Years Old...Anything Happening?

So, if only you knew what is going to happen in THE GREEN SKIES.  But there will be more news on that as it progresses and it's only up to page 277 so far.

There is the Mark Tyme storyline started in Adventure that will be concluded in MISSION: SAVE TYME!  and Krieg auf der Dunkelheit or...Bellum Omnium Contra tenebrae as an alternative title?

Then we have this...cover art by top comic artist Ben R. Dilworth -and it tells you all you need to know -action, adventure, monsters, time travel and THE original armoured combat machine
THE IRON WARRIOR!

  1. Looks nicer on the screen than it did in my office; and that texture red background does look nice; thanks for putting that up for me. I don't know if it was on purpose - it certainly is eye catching - but you've posted up the images 3 times each. 3 of Times Raging River and 3 of One Man Lost In the Raging Rivers Of Time. Got to go. Take it easy.

  2. WHAT??? Yesterday Blogger was a pain and would not load and it took me six attempts to get two images on the page. The post before publishing had only two images so I'll check.....

  3. Okay. On Blogger with Mozilla its a short post with two images. On Google it's as you describe it. I'm not using Blogger with Mozilla any more. It really is a nice image and the texture works! THANKS.

  4. A pleasure. Oh. And the mellow music was nice - but I am generally mellow... until I take my medication - and then all bets are off ! I was sad to reminded that Gene Colan died in 2011. He was always one of my favourite pencillers - just one step away from genius, I always felt, in many of the projects he undertook. And sometimes - GENIUS. Conan, Blade, Daredevil... and a short lived mystery comic book whose title I forget...plus ARAK SON OF THUNDER for DC ( unless my memory is completely shit - which is possible ) ....ahhhh... Have to work. Take it easy.

  5. Well, Tommy was said to have been inspired by experimentation with crystal meth amphetamene which was new at the time. Or not. The Seekers claimed Puff The Magic Dragon was about drugs "cus we're hip and part of the Beat Generation not old boring folkies!" But the writer in recent years has emphasised again its a story about a boy and a dragon and when he wrote it he knew nothing about drugs. Gene Colan...it was seeing his work in a Daredevil back in the early 1970s that got me wanting to draw comics more. But the poor guy's dead now so why blame him!

  7. "Short-lived mystery comic book"? Possibly DC's "Night Force" from the early 80's?

  8. O M G....is this Darron "Totally uncontactable by any means" Northall?? The man I've been trying to contact about this Saturday???? You exist!

  9. Yes. 'Night Force' sounds about right - a series of short, two or three comic stories, with changing supporting characters ( like Mission Impossible ) but a single 'mysterious' main character who 'anchors' the team and wears an 1800's-ish cape and is either a total charlatan or some kind of 'Dr. Strange'. Variable quality stories, but the art was usually wonderful. Anyway -
Hey, Darron. Long time no see ! I have a request .... could you please help out Terry at BcP this Saturday ? In my office I usually work alone ( with a varying number of students and 'others' - salesmen etc etc - coming and going; I appreciate just how tough organizing and preparing and doing something alone can be - so, could you please help out ? Cheers.

  10. I think I mention somewhere that Northall will turn up....some time but I'm quite willing to do all the work! 1000 postings for 2014....really? I must be slowing down. A lot slower after this Saturday but, yes, a lot of work and the way I'm feeling now I could do with the rest. Notice Japan doesn't provide enough hits to register on the All Time Views scale? Shame on you,
