I know, I try to be bleak to make sure the wannabees know what they are letting themselves in for. But there ARE positives.
1) publishing your own comic -if it goes right or wrong it's ALL yours!
2) having fun writing/drawing.
3) Meeting people at cons you might possibly like.
4) Meeting people who like your work --mummy and daddy don't count.
5) Going to cons and watching the hot female cosplayers
6) Getting a buzz after conbs that keep you going.
I ought to point out, before people think I'm on new happy drugs, that as a creator/publisher you get very little time for pubs, TV, cinema, etc.. That is IF -IF- you are serious.
