An exclusive evening at the French Institute with the creators of the
Valerian and Laureline comics!
Pierre Christin, the writer, and Jean-Claude Mézières, the artist, will be present at an event hosted by the Institut Français du Royaume-Uni in London – a rare opportunity for British fans to meet two legends of the international comic scene
The evening begins at 4.30 pm with a conversation between the creators and the public, moderated by journalist and comic expert Paul Gravett. The authors will share and discuss with the audience the story of their partnership, and what aspects of the series, from political commentary to groundbreaking art, have made it into the seminal work it is.
At 6.00 pm, there will then be a screening of Luc Besson’s recent adaptation to the big screen, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, followed by a Q&A with the authors, also moderated by Paul Gravett
