Ahhh. Just heard from Dave Hornsby whose work I mentioned here: http://hoopercomicart.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/dave-hornsby-rush-up-date.html
So, if I heard from he is definitely alive! Check out the above posting and its comments. Dave sent a link to his non comic blog: www.davehornsby.com
He also tells me: "...bizarrely, somebody has just scanned and made all the old issue of Apocalypse available online to download, as well as many other UK fanzines from back in the day..." and that can be found here:http://classicukcomicszines.weebly.com/-apocalypse.html
Since so much of my stuff was nicked -including issues of Apocalypse- guess what I'll be checking out later?
Cheers, Dave!
Hi, thanks for the shout-out. It took me about five months in all, to find all eight issues of APOCALYPSE, but they can be found for sale on ebay sometimes, and are well worth having as proper 'Hold-in-your-hand' magazines Dave very kindly allowed me to post them to the site as PDF files, and I hope that they can now be enjoyed by people who can't find them. The work Dave (and Nick) produced is far to good to be lost in the mists of time.
ReplyDeleteHi. No problem. Some of the covers are great and the Collection is a valuable archive!
