Please consider supporting Comic Bits Online because it is a very rare thing in these days of company mouthpiece blogs that are only interested in selling publicity to you. With support CBO can continue its work to bring you real comics news and expand to produce the video content for this site. What Happened To All the Comic Bloggers and Vloggers?

I used to have a long list of blogs I followed -just as I had along list of You Tube comic vloggers. 90 per cent of the blogs vanished and there are only two of the 50 or so You Tube comic related channels left.

Why did everyone quit?

For some it was because they lost interest in comics. Their "love" of comics was a phase and some changed over to collecting the then sudden craze to buy vinyl LPs....one jumped to vinyl...lost interest and jumped to buying a motorbike and then...channel gone.

Those  that jumped onto comics because they were suddenly cool and all claimed to be "comic nerds"/"comic geeks" and started wearing fake spectacles because, you know, comic fans 'all' wear spectacles.  Thank TVs The Big Bang Theory for that.

The very fact that these people really had no knowledge of comic book history and only bought the fake and hyped "cool comics" tells you a lot.

On You Tube there was the whole trolling thing. People started showing a talking about their collections and buys and the negative comments were just too much for them.  Some dealt with the trolls and some even tracked down trolls who were victimizing female collectors. But the whole "comic book community" was a great idea but only if you were in a certain clique.

Comicbookgirl19s  channel just got so bad I unsubscribed. From comics and movie chat it devolved into "How many obscenities can I use in a minute?"

Incidentally, "Dislikes" on You Tube videos of all types including helping yourself if you suffer from depression or anxiety (HOW can you dislike that?) are very likely part of another little craze amongst the low lifes. I was once on a forum and read the chat between a group of people who were giving their tallies for that day's "Dislikes" -just for fun they were seeing how many videos they could click dislike on and they didn't care what the subject matter was.

Some bloggers (I know how they feel) gave up because, apart from spam, they were getting no feedback. They were getting 200-300 views a day but....no comments.  Only so long that you can post to'no one' before giving up. Comic fans like to talk!

It is sad to think that people who genuinely are comic fans blogged/vlogged to a world that really does not give a shit.  This is the internet and people want to grab for free and screw you.

There are other reasons why people quit but negativity and apathy is the winner.
