Views of Reviews
Someone asked so....
Reviews of Cinebook titles as well as Hexagon books generally each get more than 100 views straight away. Older reviews get much higher views as people tend to check out what is written about those.
One could hope those views result in sales for the companies. I often wish that about my own books!

Once a very tall man in Japan decided to do a version of Aesop's Fables that he could read to his young daughter. He wrote it, illustrated it and decided that it was too "dark" for a little girl. In England, a bearded gnome got a copy and published it.
True story.

Its a world where if you stand up for what is right you'll be lucky if its just a beating you get. A world where people are starving (if poor) and the rich live in luxury. A world where you have to have birthing Rights. Where sacrificing someone to the Devil is acceptable -as long as they pay the wages. A world where if you DO NOT take that bribe you WILL be made an example of.
This was the dystopian world set up by Ben Dilworth in Small Press publications in the 1980 and some strips in Black Tower books and led on to The Dark Night Detectives: Everything Is Under Control.
Now Detective Inspector Black and Special Constable (Community Policing) Jones are back and it is still dar, bleak and depressingly familiar in a way.
The ending will make you ask more than a few questions.

42 Years On -We've Got The Tower Power!
Comics really can be a despicable business are any honest people out there?
Well, typical start to a New Year. Two people who were at the party with top DC and Marvel editors noted how one person dared raise a question about work and how characterisation and story quality was sinking and was told "You don't like it then **** off and get a job somewhere else!"
Apparently one senior editor when asked about hand problem responded that it was "repetitive strain injury from milking all the cows (fans)!"
I no longer get surprised by this as over 15 years ago I noted the companies were treating fans as cash cows -do a search on CBO. Also, two UK comic bloggers (or web site owners as they like to call themselves) reiterated to certain British comic creators that they would post nothing on their sites about "Certain accusations" because "we take care of our own".
Comics really can be a despicable business and I often wonder if there are any honest people out there!
