CLASH OF STEEL! “GAME OF THRONES” STORYBOARD ARTIST WILLIAM SIMPSON HEADS FOR MALTA COMIC CON 2013! 

Northern Irish comic artist Will Simpson joins Ian Churchill, Charlie Adlard and Sean Phillips as another announced guest for the Malta Comic Con 2013 which will be happening on the 30^th November and 1^st December at St James Cavalier. Like many British creators Will broke into the industry through Warrior with 'Big Ben' and British Marvel’s ‘Transformers’ before moving on to work for 2000AD, Dark Horse and DC. In comics Will worked on immortal characters such as Batman, Judge Dredd and John Constantine Hellblazer, before moving on to the film industry where he has worked on a number of projects and is currently a storyboard artist for the HBO hit TV series “Game of Thrones”. 

Will Simpson has been working on the set of the internationally acclaimed Series since its inception in 2011 and all through the 3 seasons he’s been responsible for creating dynamic and detailed storyboards. In addition to this, Simpson was also commissioned to create designs for most of the 'hero' weapons and other various props that were used on the show including 'Cersei's coach', 'Ice' and Bran’s Assassin's Knife, which featured prominently in Season 1. He also designed the first versions of the mysterious 'White Walkers'

Wicked Comics are also proud to announce that the Malta Comic Con 2013 will include an exhibition containing a selection of Will’s original “Game of Thrones” storyboard artwork. So all those attending the show will not only have the opportunity to meet Will in person but also admire his fine work. More details on this Exhibition will be revealed shortly.

William Simpson is an international artist, whose career began in comicstrip art, working on a range of character icons: Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, Batman, Transformers, Hellblazer, Tyranny Rex, Aliens, and Vamps.
