The Improbability of the German Super Hero...really?

It was asked "how can you have German super heroes?" and the argument was the same that started that old Improbability of the British Super Hero post way back.

You do not need skyscrapers. Look at the basics of German mythology and legends -some already incorporated into D-Gruppe. I outlined some of this in this post:

https://hoopercomicart.blogspot.com/2018/06/re-post-d-gruppe-germanys-first-and.html

It isn't as though Germany has no crime. So why not a super villain? And with all the other genres that can be dragged into stories -including space- then the limit is your (actually my) imagination. Remember that some of the heroes are also exiles from destroyed parallel worlds and that adds another angle for stories.

Until the last few years Germany had only US or French reprint comics before some home grown super heroes began to appear.  The recent additions tend to be more parodies than serious stories and parodies -even well drawn ones- tend to fall flat after an issue or two. I always take my characters seriously because they are real (I swear -it isn't all in my head!!).

So time travel? Why not.

Super villains? Sure

Space threats -established.

Parallel Earth threats -established.

Mythological and legendary characters and threats? Established.

Now I just need to draw it all and having not heard from Mr Dilworth for 1 year and 4 months (hoping he is okay) I better get my ass moving!
