Thought I had something in one particular box and opened it up to find it had #1-3 of Beware The Creeper by Ditko from DC Comics in 1968.
These are scans and my copies are well read and worn but still in very good condition.
I also found some Inferior 5 issues including #1 -which I didn't realise I had -1967 from DC Comics.
Again an online scan but my copy is still very good.
Plus volume 1 of the DC Comics Who's Who (the only volume worth bothering with in my opinion and pre Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Some other old books I had forgotten about, too. But mustn't delve into the boxes anymore. Not until I finish the work I'm doing!
See, kids -eat your porridge and bread crusts and you, too, can collect good comics. I'm 60 years old and I been around a while so have a head start!

I have only seen some original art from INFERIOR FIVE but it looks like a book DC has to put in a SHOWCASE volume.
ReplyDeleteThe Mike Sekowsky art and style on this is lovely. It's a whole era in comics that people forget with Jerry Lewis Comics, Angel & the Ape and so on. Had DC put the Inferior Five in Maguire and cos hands rather than Justice League they would be better well known characters and the humour would have worked better. It wore very very thin on JL. The I5 were well, well before all the parody super heroes like the Tick and Mystery Men movie.
